METALkiDofEArTH08's News

Posted by METALkiDofEArTH08 - April 9th, 2021

I am absolutely humbled that I randomly decide to drop a song on here and it gets FRONT PAGED. Thanks for the love, everyone. :)

I have a Youtube account that I will be uploading my music to probably this weekend (it's on an old Youtube account now). Also I linked to my facebook page on my profile, go give that a like. :) I have older content on here you are welcome to listen to, just be warned it isn't at the quality of This Sober Oath. I recommend my song Genesis, which is a short piano song that people seem to love, and it's my go-to piano riff. Planning to re-record sometime soon (and old fans, don't worry, it will be a standalone piano song).

My plan and my dream is to record an album, maybe sometime this year but most likely in 2022. I plan to have it on all streaming networks and for purchase, still working on plans for it.

Also I would love to write Newgrounds exclusive music. I have a heart for Newgrounds, it has great memories for me.

Be looking out for more in the future. Due to the album plans I probably won't release a ton of music but I'll probably drop some more songs on here soon. Thanks again everyone.

 Hey!

Just really stopping by to say hello and I hope everyone is having a FANTASTIC 2017. I won't be long...

I have a few small updates, including now as of July 2015 I have a full time job that demands every part of me, haha. I'm event staff at a convention center here in town, and some of our clients are, well... shew. But about 90% of them are AWESOME!

At the beginning of 2015 I was reacquainted with a very good friend, and I mean VERY good, and an awesome gal... and as of September 2016, we are now MARRIED! So, I'm an old married man now. haha

And due to these reasons, I have definitely been nowhere near as active on here. Today is the first day in a long time I have some free time, but I was so exhausted from just... life... that I have done NOTHING today. Tonight I'll be helping my wife get ready for a program she does at her work, which involves making muffins. Yum!

Anyway...  ah, the music. I am not done. I still want to make a metal album. And my love for video game and electronic music keeps me trying new things as I can. But progress is slow and resources are highly limited. Some of my recording equipment is still at home and "inaccessible," let's just say that. Luckily, if I don't recover those items, it's not a terrible loss. And with my interest in technology and possibly looking for a career in IT/computers, maybe I can have the resources to get the best equipment I have ever had.

So just stay tuned. If I upload anything it'll be more things like Party Virus.

Don't give up on me, Newgrounds.

I'll leave you with a challenge...

I know Newgrounds is a worldwide site, and I know you all have probably seen the events unfold in the USA, with Donald Trump becoming our newest president. He isn't my favorite, but give the guy a chance. I have seen way too much hostility toward his campaign and presidency, and way too much "cold war" going on between the liberals and conservatives. Let's drop our weapons that are our mouths and fingers, and just try on love for once. We get nowhere with the destructive forces of hatred and rioting, and Madonna thinking of blowing up the White House is not a good way to ensure peace among the people. We are in trouble, but not dying yet. Have faith, and practice love.

It wasn't deep or well thought out, but it's better than RAGE QUIT.

Peace.

Kevin

BOO! Happy Halloween!

Whats up NEWGROUNDS!

I never am on here anymore. I may try to change that soon. I've watched a few of my favorite things, from Nazo Unleashed to Super Mario Bros Z. Ah, the nostalgia. But I know you all are making new things every day! And I look forward to watching your new creations!

Making songs for you all (some full length, some shorter) would be great practice for my music. I tell you, I have come a LONG way from the recording selection I have for you. Honestly, I may just take a few of my worst things down. And, trust me, there are some BAD examples out there!!! Haha. I'll let you know when the songs will start flooding in. I need to make a couple purchases or borrows, but yes there will be new content coming sometime!

Expect anything from metal to classical to, well, who freakin' knows!

Until then. Peace.

Heya! So I know like, 2 people come and view my page. Haha. Newgrounds is changing little by little. Just recently started coming back.

I have a job now, and it's nice to be making a little bank. But, when you're trying to achieve financial independence, wanting a girlfriend (and, being for serious, wanting to find one to put a ring on), and other things, it's hard to save up for the recording equipment I want. But I have, however, been working a little on my guitar skillz. I'm better now than I used to be. I still can't shred, but I'm closer to my shredding days. (Really, though, shredding isn't THAT useful).

So, I have a few things I need to get. First and foremost an audio interface would be very, very helpful. Oh, and have you seen the new Mac Pro coming out? WOO! I'll be getting one of those! ...someday.

Hooray for pointless posts. I don't know when, but soon, I want to release some new tunes. And I want to have a Newgrounds-focus on music, as well as metal, and then I want other foci as well such as worship.

Aight. See you fools.

Hey,

Newgrounds is different. I like it!

Just wanted to update you all real fast. As, I procrastinate homework. Big homework too. Fail.

Listened to my songs. I feel like they could be a whole lot better. Thanks for the awesome votes though. I've been upgrading my gear like crazy. I am now sporting a pedaltrain-1 board with some new pedals as well. As far as metal... well, I'm downgrading some.

I don't want to count Dawn After Ashes out, but the chances of new material coming out are growing slimmer and slimmer. I've just had no real support, ya know? Then again, I haven't made too much of a push for it. If something were to magically happen, I may reconsider. But I'm doing more and more worship music lately. May be called to it, I don't know. This might take me places like Sydney, Australia and Seattle, Washington. That's pretty cool. But it won't be for music, that's for sure.

So, in the meantime, keep it real. I do have some awesome "general rock" jams I may get out sometime soon. But it may be in the fall. Oh yeah, doing a mission trip this summer, all summer. If by some random chance you'd like to support me financially, that'd be epic.

Contact me here and I'll give you details.

Until next time, or next upload, keep it ROCK!

Very quick entry before sleep.

It's finals week at WKU. And, I'm finished Thursday. But, I gotta get started, dang it! But I'm too pumped about the break, about PASSION 2011 in Atlanta GA, and about a local Battle of the Bands I help my bros with.

But what I'm MOST excited about is the planned equipment I plan to buy... er, rather the madre will purchase for me for Christmas. If all goes according to plan... my recordings will be 50x better. Here's the priorities...

This new mixer and mic that'll let me EQ better...
A new guitar amp
ATA Flightcase for said amp (they're expensive dude!)
Pedalboard
Pedals of my choosing
EIther new guitar or new pickups for my current axe
THEN...
most likely a new computer, and with that... pro recording software.
Drum machine for more realistic drums
And after that...
Synth!
I guess after that some actual pro studio monitors.

That's my shopping list. I hope that this break will be full of music... but I have a TOOOON of stuff I want to do. So, we'll see. I can promise at least one song, if not, TONS of experimentation.

Hey everyone, real quick entry. NASCAR at Michigan very soon!

First I want everyone to watch this.

Thanks to jonathan-wrathborne for using GENESIS on his movie =)

Also, Aim Fist Amethyst... I know it's still on the Newgrounds site and honestly, I haven't been here that often. For some odd reason my computers have all decided they don't like Newgrounds, and I don't know why. Well, haven't tried on the lappy yet. I've been trying to upload my new rendition of an old classic "Theodicy," but that's not the point. The point is, I'm no longer Aim Fist Amethyst. I decided that's far too random, cool and stuff but, too random. So now I'm Dawn After Ashes.

Dawn After Ashes... is much more of a representation of my cause. It's strictly a focus, a fixation, on God, but there's a secular way to look at it as well. I know we all have rough times, believe me my car was messing up really bad and that's a big part of how I get back and forth at college (now I'm sporting a brand new Kia Forte EX!). But anyway, life throws... storms at us. Eroding rain, abrasive winds, and lightning to fuel frustration. But, on the other side of those storm clouds the sun is shining, and it doesn't matter how big or how disastrous of a storm it may be, the sun will shine again.

My favorite analogy... volcanoes completely destroy everything, lava completely levels forests. But, soon after, through the ASHES, you'll see sprouts of new life. And before you know it, life will go on and after awhile, you wouldn't even know lava destroyed that forest.

Okay, close to going green. Gotta run.

Hey all.

So I have few listeners. but I understand why. I'm technically a nobody on here haha... But I have a big passion to make awesome music. But my equipment holds me back. That's why I have made a decision.

I've been trying to figure out what to do, and the guy who does music at my church showed me something I should get, its a small version of what they use to record, and I was like DUDE yes. So, basically what I am saying, in short, I will be saving up for this little beast, and some new speakers... Altic Lansing is good for casual listening, not serious stuff. Probably an entire rig and MAYBE a new computer for it, because I'm that serious. And my BIG savings project is a synth. I want cool sound effects as well as REALISTIC sounds. But I give Yamaha credit, they make a killer workstation. But good for beginners. I'm... probably intermediate now. lol... anyway, so catch you all later, I'll try to throw some more "demos" up here.

and last but not least, Bleeding Daylight is now Aim Fist Amethyst. And as hardcore as that sounds, I'm going to try to give my music that edge.

Hey everybody, I don't know who reads my posts but hopefully somebody does.

First off, I'd just like to say I made a new submission to the audio portal a couple days ago. It's called Oppression, look it up and I hope you like it.

Now, what I'd like to see. I'll describe it some. Both are for the "serious shorts" category.

1) ZOIDS. I am a HUGE Zoids fan, and it has some serious good animation. I know there are many people on Newgrounds that are seriously talented artists. I would like for someone to make a thick plotted story of Zoids. If anybody is interested I might be able to come up with something, a script of sorts. I may start doing that in college, who knows.

2) DARE TO DREAM. This is an OLD computer game from like, 1993? by Epic MegaGames (Epic Games), and its about a boy named Tyler Norris who is very stressed out, has wicked nightmares upon which this RPG of sorts you move the boy around the area, you're looking through his eyes and stuff. The game itself is simple and kinda cheesy, but the plot behind it is amazing. There's one scene from Dare To Dream 3: Christian's Lair, Christian being the bad guy, anyway there is a place called the River of Sorrow, and there is a boy in the icy cold river, tied down by a weight and just lays in the river face-up, crying. It is honestly depressing, I played this game when I was about 6 and the music from the scene as well as the picture has left me forever touched. I even found the old floppy disk game just to play it again and see the scene. There's also a cool place where in the grove you find a rotted soldier and he wants an honorary burial, and its pretty touching too. I'd love to see someone willing to do this reenact these places. You can look everything up on Wikipedia and even download the music from places, its easy to find. Of course some tracks are VERY cheesy and just plain stupid, but some are awesome. Anyway, I'll let you ponder on this.
